Recently another hacker Saurik joined the team and made &#8220;some major contributions&#8221; yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Last week Pod2g <noindex><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/iphoneroot.com\/dream-team-will-work-on-untethered-ipad-2-and-iphone-4s-jailbreak\/\" target=\"_blank\" >announced<\/a><\/noindex> that Planetbeing, MuscleNerd, and P0sixninja joined his effort to release an <a href=\"https:\/\/jailbreak-iphone.ru\/en\/tag\/untethered\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"slink\" title=\"untethered\" >untethered<\/a> iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 (A5 CPU devices).<\/p>\n<p>Today, MuscleNerd noted that the team has received some major contributions from saurik:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>props to @saurik for major contributions to the A5 version of @pod2g&#8217;s untether yesterday! (still no ETA, but moving forward)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Pod2g also thanked planetbeing for his help in escaping from the sandbox.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>And greetings to @planetbeing for the coding + research. Really great stuff to escape from the sandbox.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Good news, that means that there is progress and we might see utility sometime this month.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15293\" title=\"a5-jail-2\" src=\"http:\/\/iphoneroot.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/a5-jail-2.png\" alt=\"a5-jail-2\" width=\"539\" height=\"223\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE<\/strong>:<br \/>\nPod2g has also addressed the request that the untethered jailbreak be released to <a href=\"https:\/\/jailbreak-iphone.ru\/en\/tag\/developers\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"slink\" title=\"developers\" >developers<\/a>. He previously revealed that there is a working jailbreak that requires a developer account.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Sorry, we can&#8217;t release the A5 for the developers, the exploit used have to be kept secret.
