The iPhone Dev-Team released RedSn0w 0.9.8b5 that supports tethered jailbreak for the most recent iOS 5 beta 5:

redsn0w has been updated to 0.9.8b5, adding support for Apple’s new iOS5 beta5 (point it directly at the beta5 IPSW). Please use this only if you’re a jailbreak app developer with a legit Apple dev account, and remember it’s a tethered jailbreak for now!

You can download RedSn0w 0.9.8b5 for Windows and Mac OS here.

jailbreak-ios-435

RedSn0w can perform a tethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.5 for all devices except the iPad 2, according to MuscleNerd’s tweet:

So those who really do want tethered 4.3.5 can use redsn0w pointed at 4.3.4 (except iPad2)

We strongly recommend NOT to update to iOS 4.3.4 or iOS 4.3.5 to preserve untethered jailbreak. We will soon post step-by-step tutorials on how to perform iOS 4.3.5 tethered jailbreak.

You can download the latest redsn0w here.

UPDATE: Here are latest step-by-step tutorials to jailbreak iOS 4.3.5:

redsn0w-098b3

The iPhone Dev-Team has released RedSn0w 0.9.8b3 which can perform a tethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.4. This means that you will have to connect your device to a computer and run redsn0w each time you restart.

For the convenience of kernel hackers like @comex and @i0n1c, we have a new redsn0w 0.9.8b3 that supports a TETHERED jailbreak for iOS 4.3.4 on all devices that have 4.3.4 except the iPad2. The vast majority of people will want to stay back at 4.3.3 because that’s where the untethered jailbreak is! There are no new features in 4.3.4 – only fixes for jailbreak exploits.

Also, this is a good time to remind everyone (since we’re still seeing confusion about this): iPad2 owners with a baseband (3G or CDMA) cannot currently use saved blobs to go back to 4.3.3 once the signing window is closed. This is unlike every other device, so don’t be confused! iPad2 owners with basebands should stay away from all updates to maintain your jailbreak!

This jailbreak works with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G. It does not work with iPad 2.

You can download RedSn0w 0.9.8b3 from here: (Mac, Windows)

434-untether

Famous iPhone hacker Stefan Esser, also known as i0n1c, recently wrote on twitter that we should not expect untether jailbreak for iOS 4.3.4 anytime soon. i0n1c was the one who created untether for iOS 4.3.3 firmware.

Our advice is simple – save your 4.3.3 SHSH keys asap. With these SHSH keys you will be able to restore to iOS 4.3.3 anytime, without – only iOS 4.3.4. Here are tutorials for you.

redsn0w-098b2

You can download the updated RedSn0w for Mac and Windows from here.

iOS 5 beta 3 is jailbreakable by RedSn0w 0.9.8 b1. DevTeam hacker MuscleNerd has confirmed that the RedSn0w 0.9.8 b1 jailbreak works on recently released iOS 5 Beta 3. All you have to do is to point it to a downloaded iOS 5 beta 1 firmware ipsw.

Today’s 5.0b3 can be jailbroken with last month’s redsn0w http://is.gd/6eek4Y (point it at 5.0b1 IPSW..devs only please!)

RedSn0w 0.9.8 b1 jailbreak works on all devices, exect iPad 2. This means you can get a tethered jailbreak on Windows and Mac OS for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G and iPad 1.

jailbreak-iOS-5

We didn’t have to wait long for the Windows version of recently released iOS 5 jailbreak utility for Mac OS.

DevTeam created a Windows version of Redsn0w 0.9.8 b1 and iH8sn0w released Sn0wBreese 2.8 b1. Both perform a tethered jailbreak of iOS 5 beta 1 on iPhone 3GS/4, iPod Touch 3G/4G and iPad 1.

You still need activated UUID. Both tools do NOT hactivate devices.

You can download Redsn0w 0.9.8 b1 for Windows here and Sn0wBreese 2.8 b1 here.

ios5-redsn0w

MuscleNerd recently Tweeted that iOS 5 beta 1 jailbreak is already available. DevTeam released Redsn0w 0.9.8 b1.

For now the jailbreak is tethered (you have to run redsn0w each time you reboot) and available for Mac OS X only. It will not activate your device, so you need have registered UDID. iPhone 3GS users with 06.15 baseband: redsn0w will get you past the iTunes restore error. This redsn0w will probably work on future versions of iOS 5.

Redsn0w 0.9.8 b1 works with iOS 5 b1 on iPhone 4 (GSM / CDMA), iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G, iPad 1.

This is mostely for developers of Cydia apps. Most tweaks and Cydia applications do not work on iOS 5.

You can download Redsn0w 0.9.8 b1 here.
