Quite obvious, nobody will do that, so the only way to make your iOS 7 device look more like the iOS 6 gadget is to jailbreak it and use various Cydia tweaks to adjust the look of the operating system.

iH8sn0w and winocm have posted a new video teasing an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4, and 6.1.5. The video demonstrates the untethered jailbreak on a n78ap (iPod touch 5) running iOS 6.1.3.

One of the most interesting Samsung Galaxy S4’s features is probably Smart Pause. This is the feature that automatically pauses video playback each time you look away. For quite a long period of time those who use iPhones had to put up with the fact that there’s nothing similar for the iOS platform. And then FaceHalt was released.

For those who didn’t follow the conference, or get caught up in the excitement that surrounded it, the ‘one more thing’ bomb-shell was related to the fact that the Dream Team used their presence at the security event to officially introduce the world to the v2.0 release of their one-click Absinthe jailbreak solution. After months of hard work and exploit finding, mixed with weeks of will-they-won’t-they speculation, it turns out that they indeed did introduce us to Absinthe 2.0.

InteVyDis has released an untethered jailbreak for A4 devices on iOS 5.1.1 as part of Vulndisco Mobile 1.7. The module is vd_ios_untether_5_1_1. It works by creating a custom bundle you have to install via RedSn0w. Evgeny Legerov posted in twitter:

vulndisco mobile 1.7 is out with untethered 5.1.1

This jailbreak is not free and costs big money. It works only on A4 devices – iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G. It is not yet tested by other hackers. So this might be fake. However famous hacker I01nc notes that the company is a legit source of exploits:

Xvolks has posted a video demonstrating the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak using the new yet unreleased utility Absinthe 2.0.

I’ve tested Absinthe v2 on my iPhone 4 GSM, iOS 5.1.1. It jailbroke it flawlessly. I’ve took a (bad) video of it 😉

The video was later removed from the public, but you know there is nothing that can be hidden 🙂

Pod2g has confirmed the successful untethered jailbreak of iPad 3 with the latest iOS 5.1.1.

OK, tested on an iPad 3,1 running 5.1.1. Jailbroken untethered. 🙂 No issue.
