The founder of Jailbreakme.com Comex has said on Twitter that he is joining Apple as an intern. Site JailbreakMe.com greatly facilitates jailbreaking for users. He said about the hiring on Twitter:

“It’s been really, really fun, but it’s also been a while and I’ve been getting bored. So, the week after next I will be starting an internship with Apple”.

Forbes disclosed that Comex is Nicolas Allegra, a 19-year old student of Brown University. In that publication, Comex likened jailbreaking to editing:

“like editing an English paper… You just go through and look for errors. I don’t know why I seem to be so effective at it.”

His latest jailbreak utilized a flaw in Apple’s PDF renderer to crack iOS devices. Apple patched this vulnerability after nearly a week, but the elegant solution which allowed users to jailbreak their devices shows the talent that he has.

It is not for the first time Apple has engaged persons from jailbreak community. This year Peter Hajas, MobileNotifier developer, was invited by Apple as a summer intern. Unlike Hajas, Allegra has actually developed tools that have enabled jailbreaking on the iPhone.
