The evad3rs on Friday released an updated evasi0n7 jailbreak utility. It is still impossible to jailbreak iPhone 5, 5c and 5s running iOS 7.1, however, evasi0n7 1.0.8 brings support for iOS 7.0 build 11A466.

evasi0n7 1.0.8 Evad3rs Release New Version of Their Jailbreak Utility Evasi0n7 1.0.8

11A466 is probably a factory build, which means it is not available for download. This iOS 7 version is installed primarily on new devices. For instance, one user says that iPhone 5s, which he got from Apple as a replacement for his damaged smartphone, is currently running iOS 7 build 11A466. He adds that he can’t jailbreak his new device.

As noted by iDownloadBlog,

At some point during the past week or so, the evad3rs released an update for evasi0n7, bringing the jailbreak tool to version 1.0.8. According to the change log, the software now supports build 11A466 of iOS 7.

The updated evasi0n7 jailbreak utility is available on the evad3rs’ official website. One can download it any time now.

According to the recent reports, the evad3rs have released an update for their jailbreak utility. The hackers have fixed the problem with bundled package lists that “could not be updated by Cydia”. The update has brought the evasi0n7 tool to version 1.0.7.

evasion 1.0.7 500x215 Evad3rs Release Evasi0n7 1.0.7 with Fix for Bundled Package List Issue

However, not all the users may require this update and here’s why (via iDownloadBlog):

This is more of a maintenance update, as it doesn’t really add new features or benefits for people who aren’t experiencing the above problem. So unless you are seeing the issue, there’s no reason for you to restore and re-jailbreak.

What that all means is that if you have any problems with evasi0n7 – it is recommended that you update. If everything works normally, simply ignore the new version and continue using the older one.

One can grab the new evasi0n7 jailbreak utility (version 1.0.7) from the evad3rs’ official website.

The evad3rs have released new Evasi0n7 1.0.6. The updated jailbreak tool version allows to hack the devices running latest iOS 7.0.6. Looks like you don’t have to wait or search for alternative patches as I recommended yesterday. All you need to do is to upgrade to iOS 7.0.6 and then run the Evasi0n7 tool.

evasion 1.0.6 released 500x190 Evad3rs Release Evasi0n7 1.0.6 for iOS 7.0.6

According iDownloadBlog,

Following Apple’s release yesterday of iOS 7.0.6, the evad3rs have released an update to their evasi0n7 jailbreak tool. The update, which brings the tool to version 1.0.6. included a fix for an SSL connection verification issue, which turned out to be a major security flaw in the operating system.

Before jailbreaking your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, make sure you backed up all the important files from your device.

One can download Evasi0n7 1.0.6 from the official website. As always, it is available for free.

evasi0n 705 500x400 Evad3rs released Evasi0n 1.0.5 to jailbreak iOS 7.0.5

The evad3rs have released an updated evasi0n 7.0.5 that brings the ability to jailbreak iOS 7.0.5. The iOS 7.0.5 was released earlier this week for the some iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models (the GSM + CDMA editions).

Pod2g noted the change on twitter

Hi there! evasi0n 1.0.5 with support for iOS 7.0.5 is up on http://evasi0n.com .

Apple has already patched the exploits evasi0n7 uses in the latest iOS 7.1 beta, as we reported yesterday, so this will be the last firmware you will be jailbreak iOS 7 for some time.

You can download the latest Evasi0n 7.0.5 here.

Looks like Apple has found a way to prevent people from jailbreaking their iOS devices. According to iH8sn0w, iOS 7.1 beta 5, released on Tuesday, patches two exploits used to jailbreak Apple’s smartphones and tablets. Keep in mind that the fourth beta patched another vulnerability used by evasi0n7. It appears that beginning from iOS 7.1, it would be impossible to hack your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. And that is definitely not good.

7.1 beta 5 jailbreak 500x328 Two More Evasi0n7 Exploits Successfully Patched in iOS 7.1 Beta 5

As noted by iDownloadBlog,

Developer and hacker iH8sn0w tweeted out a few moments ago that Apple has fixed the ‘chown’ vulnerability and ‘afc sandbox escape’ used by the evad3r’s popular jailbreak utility in beta 5. So it looks like iOS 7.1 will indeed be the death of the iOS 7 JB.

Despite all the facts given above, it is too early to panic. So far, the evad3rs haven’t officially confirmed that the evasi0n7 won’t work on iOS 7.1. Apart from that, iH8sn0w has recently found a way to jailbreak A5 devices for good and this method might also work for A6 and A7 devices as well.

Nevertheless, it is recommended that you update to iOS 7.0.4 or iOS 7.0.5 and stay away from iOS 7.1 betas. At least for some time.

exploit ios7 500x167 iOS 7.1b4 Blocks Kernel Exploit Used In Evasi0n iOS 7 Jailbreak

Do not expect iOS 7.1 jailbreak soon. Apple has reportedly blocked the kernel exploit used by the evasi0n 7 jailbreak utility. According to iH8sn0w the exploit was blocked in the recent iOS 7.1b4 firmware:

So the code sign bug that evasi0n7 uses still exists in 7.1b4. Kernel exploit looks patched though :P

meaning… Don’t expect an evasi0n7 update for 7.1b4+ support.

The news is unfortunate; however, we still don’t know what exploits will be blocked in the final release of iOS 7.1 and what exploits the evad3rs have alternatives for.

The evad3rs have just released a new version of their jailbreak tool – evasi0n7 1.0.4, which is expected to bring numerous security improvements to the iOS 7 jailbreak.

The company from Cupertino has recently released iOS 7 beta 3. If you’re planning to jailbreak your iPhone or iPad running the latest beta using the official evasi0n7 tool, well, I should disappoint you – it won’t work. However, there’s another way out.

unofficial jailbreak 500x241 Unofficial Jailbreak for iOS 7 beta 3 Appeared on the Internet

According to Jeff Benjamin of iDownloadBlog,

A modified version of the Evasi0n7 jailbreak tool began making its rounds around the internet this afternoon. This unofficial version of Evasi0n7 was created in order to jailbreak the just released iOS 7.1 beta 3.

What is interesting about this version is that it is apparently developed by a group of hackers from Russia. Does this mean that evad3rs now have a new and extremely strong rival? Who knows.

As you probably know, not long ago evad3rs released their untethered jailbreak for iOS 7. Right after the release, many iPad 2 owners began to complain that their tablets won’t boot properly. Good news – the hackers came up with a fix for the problem; it is called Evasi0n 1.0.2 and it’s a beta that is said to be very helpful for all those who have problems with second-gen iPads (Wi-Fi models in particular).

evad3rs evasi0n 1.0.2 500x400 Evad3rs Release Evasi0n 1.0.2 with Fixes for iPad 2

Here’s what evad3rs claim:

News for the iPad 2 wifi on 7.0.4: we looked at it with @planetbeing. We know what is the issue now, we’re working on a clean fix.

1.0.2 (beta) is up on http://evasi0n.com. Fixes iPad 2 wifi boot loop.

As noted above, the fix is available on the evad3rs’ official website. It is still a beta-version, so it may happen it doesn’t work on all of the devices. Be patient and wait for the updates.
